Yes, the version that fink installs is quite old (0.10.40). There's a
binary version of gettext available for OS X (0.14.1), but I don't know
how things would work if I had 2 versions of gettext on my system. And,
since fink considers gettext an essential package, you can't just remove
fink's version temporarily. Hopefully the problem preventing claws from
building on OS X will be fixed in a release version soon (I'd like to
try out bogofilter with sylpheed, and there doesn't appear to be any way
to use it with vanilla sylpheed).
