Hello,
Seeking some advice from the smart people here.
I administer a mailing list, which was recently upgraded to be able to
filter attachments. Our attachments were set to pass:
multipart/mixed
multipart/alternative
text/plain
but this was disallowing gzipped files, so I added
application/octet-stream
If you were me, would you set your filters like that, or use some other
set, or give up and pass everything?
I chose "application/octet-stream" because that's how Sylpheed marked my
outbound attached gzipped file. I don't know how Sylpheed made that
choice, nor if it was something I could configure.
Thanks and regards,
--jkl
