In Sylpheed 0.7.6, multiple messages can be highlighted (to delete them all at once, for example) by \
clicking on one message, then pressing Shift while clicking on another. The first message, the seond \
message and all messages in between are then highlighted.

Not always, but more often than not, the first message clicked on gets un-highlighted when the second is \
clicked on, leaving it out of the highlighted block. This has never happened when using CTL-Click to mark \
multiple separate messages, just when using Shift-click to mark a contiguous block.

This is not just a display issue - if the highlighted block is then (for example) deleted, the \
unhighlighted first message is not deleted.

I haven't yet found a common factor for the occasions when this happens.
