I use gvim as automatic external editor. The problem is that
I get two windows on the screen... It would be interesting
to hide the compose message window until you exit the external
editor.
I know, you need to specify the destination address, so maybe
a nice behaviour would be showing the standard compose-message
window (allowing people to set To: and Subject:) and only launch
the external editor when the user focuses (mouse click or
pressing tab) on the message body widget. In that moment launching
the external editor (and hiding the compose message window) with
the headers included (so that you can see the subject and to)
would be cleaner for users (1 window instead of 2, allowing to
change from and subject on the external editor, and so).
What do you all think of the above?
