Has anyone managed to write a DefineBitsLossless export routine? I'm
trying to do this myself at the moment, but if I feed my output through
swfparse (the version from the Swiff web page), I get a message back
telling me, "Zlib cmap error: unknown compression method".

    Anyway, my questions are:

(1) How much of the original bitmap should I compress? At the moment, I'm
just feeding the image data from my bitmap into Zlib, and ignoring
    the headers.

(2) Should I use the standard output from a Zlib library, or are there any
particular compression settings that I need to use? And are there any
problems with using older versions of the library?

(3) Has anyone got a legal file, which uses DefineBitsLossless, so that I
can take a peek at its bits, and see whether I'm writing something that
    I shouldn't be.

    Thanks,

        Graeme
