  Hello all,

after successfully installing SuSE 7.3/SPARC on an Ultra2/Elite3D
box, I wanted to create a tftp network boot image as a kind of "rescue
system". I created a minimal system, based on BusyBox and added our
local backup/restore software. Details on how I made the image are
available at http://ultr.vub.ac.be/SciComp/sparclinux.html. The system
is inspired by Tom Fawcett's Bootdisk Howto.

Booting from the image works, but for some reason the characters
I type only appear in groups of four. If I type "cat file", nothing
appears while I type "cat" and when I hit the spacebar, the string "cat
"
appears in one go. It probably has something to do with the terminal
settings.

Has anyone seen this behaviour before? Comments about the
rescue system are also welcome.
