Thanks for the hint. It didn't work with my users though.

The error only appears occasionally, not on each time checking the box. This
is kind of strange, I think. I'm used to having problems with various M$
progs, but Outlook 2K worked fine. I think that I'll have to suggest, that
we "downgrade" again. ;)

By the way... I heard of many users (not only SLOXers) having similar
problems. The only possible solution (according to the newsgroups) is to
install Office SP3, which I did on my test machine. This didn't change
anything too.

If anyone has found out a solution, please tell me!

I had a few users upgrade from Outlook 2k to XP using POP have similar
problems. The problem was solved after removing the email account from
Outlook, exiting and adding the account back.

Since we changed from Office 2k to Office XP some users who are checking
multiple mailboxes on my SLOX report problems with Outlook XP. Outlook XP
shows the following error: "0x8004210A Timeout beim Warten auf eine Antwort
vom Posteingansserver (POP)." I never had this problem when my users had
Outlook 2K installed. Did anybody have similar problems? What can I do
against it?
