BTW ORACLE Metalink says, that openmotif 2.2 is not supported

trying to remove motif
gives
error: removing these packages would break dependencies:
        openmotif is needed by openmotif-devel-2.2.2-124
        libMrm.so.3 is needed by openmotif-devel-2.2.2-124
        libUil.so.3 is needed by openmotif-devel-2.2.2-124
        libXm.so.3 is needed by scsi-changer-0.20-106
        libXm.so.3 is needed by xibod-2.0-420
        libXm.so.3 is needed by kdebase3-nsplugin-3.0.3-122
        libXm.so.3 is needed by openmotif-devel-2.2.2-124

so I am not sure that I want to break this

you have to set explicitly

xset +fp <all valid FontPath directories of XF86Config>

may be I'll come up with a script soon
