Remember that distro's aren't usually HW specific (unless you buy some
specifically for say SPARCs, etc). It is the kernel, at the end of the day
that defines whether or not any HW is supported.

I use SuSE 6.4 and have kernel 2.6 running on that, allowing me to run all
kinds of very modern HW (made after SuSE 6.4 was released, anyhow).
