I've set up a SuSE based fileserver to replace an older RedHat 5.1 server.
I brought both servers home so that I could transfer the users data but on
starting the old RedHat server I've discovered that it will not allow me
to connect from another machine. The lights on the NIC go out when it
reaches runlevel 2 or 3 and an error message along the lines - cannot open
http port - FATAL - crops up when samba is started. 

I can ping 127.0.0.1 ok and ifconfig reports eth0 as ok. Anyone any ideas
where I should start looking for the cause of the problem.
