Unfortunately, I don't think it is possible to change. Apparently, using
KDE, with a single click to open things, is better - personally I don't
use KDE though. :)

Admittedly it would be better if the option was there to change it, but
the I guess we're trying to avoid being like Windows ...

I think it'd be the same under all OS's, to be honest - large directories
do take time to read, and that's the way it works. I find the same,
especially on a slow medium like CD.
