I've a AMD64 machine, running suse 9.1

Yesterday I ran a (long overdue) YOU, which updated my kernel, and a whole
bunch of other stuff.

Ever since that reboot (and a reinstall of the nvidia drivers) my sound is
skippy .. that is, it goes fine for a few seconds, and then starts sounding
like muddy the mud skipper .. skip skip skip ...

Any ideas ?
