Im expereimneting with the AMD64 (x86_64) CPU, and have installed suse 9.1
on it.
Pretty much everything works beautifully , ut Im noticing some oddities
when running 32bit applications that require OpenGL.

Quake3 (team) arena is dog slow in 1600x1200 mode (4 - 8 fps), if I drop
resolution to 640x480 and reduce the quality settings I get 90-100 fps), a
whole bunch of our own OpenGL apps have weird issues with Color indexed
textures (mainly, the textures show up as black)

64bit OpenGL apps (like the 64bit ut2004 demo) work like a charm.

Does anyone else here share this experiences?

[on a side note, occasionally starting an OpenGL app will hardcrash the
machien, either giving me the BIOS screen,or a blacks creen forcing me to
powercycle].
