Hello everyone,

maybe my question is stupid, but I don't know how to solve my problem with
subfs when compiling kernel. I've compiled 2.6 kernel based on Suse src and
suse config file, I've just chosen "preemptive kernel" and "P4 processor".
The problem is that the subfs module isn't compiled together with the new
kernel (and I just couldn't find it in the kernel config file) and so it
cannot be loaded (it says something about version mismatch - new kernel has
PREEMPT and P4 while the old subfs is without this). I'm not an expert so I
just don't know all that tricky stuff concerning kernel and modules and so
on... Could somebody tell me what to do?

Thanks a lot.

Jan Romportl

P.S.: The same problem is with my softmodem. I use smartlink-softmodem and
since the compilation of the new preemptive kernel it doesn't start.
