I'm on Suse 8.2 and have a Netgear card MA401. It is orinoco compatible, but 
it works flawlessly. I used the Control Center to set it up as pcmcia and 
simply put it in and do ifdown eth0 to turn off my ethernet then ifup wlan0 
to turn the card on. Doesn't drop signals.
