Hallo,

ich besitze ein ASUS S1300 Notebook. Der Chipsatz stammt von Intel.
Bezeichnung 82830. Ein Treiber dazu ist in der Suse 8 Distribution
enthalten. Wie auf der Intel Webseite Beschrieben ist dieser Treiber
eine Erweiterung zum Chipsatz 810. Da man im Bios der Grafik keinen
festen Speicher zuordnen kann kommt es zu dem im Betreff genannten
Problem. Hat irgendjemand eine Ahnung wie ich doch unter Linux zu einer
vernünftigen Auflösung komme? Bei ASUS habe ich bereits nachgefragt und
sogar eine neue BIOS Version (108) bekommen. Jetzt wird das Bild zwar
interpoliert, aber das hilft nicht wirklich weiter. Ich habe unten mal
das Protokoll von XFree86 angehängt.
