I've tried those several times and since 4.10 or 4.11 it's becoming stupid.
I want to see the last 32 emails as setup in recent, and have my contacts first

There's still improvements to be done in 2014's pim hackfest.

Now perhaps, and I hope those get fixed in 4.12
