Just updating to the latest KDF packages does not help. At least if one 
updated to 4.10 before the fix went in. One still has to set the placement of 
the menu to something else than "in Application", apply and after that re-set 
it to "in Application" again to make it work.

Could somebody please test whether the issue is really gone for those that 
install KDE 4.10 RC3 the first time, i.e. coming from e.g. KDE SC 4.9.
