Sorry,

I wantedt to post that to the suse list, which is german, besause it's not a
kde-problem.

But by the way: yast tries to rewrite /etc/cups/cupsd.conf and there were two
lines like ' #', the '#' was the third character and because of this lines
the daemon didn't start.

Within yast's hardware -> printer -> ...
the 'delete everything' does not delete everything and the re-install does not
re-install the cupsd.conf is there is any and if the is not any cups.conf is
written by 8-10 lines. Hands off I think.

So after deleting myself cups/ in /etc and re-installing (from install
Software) a new cups.conf war there, but daemon isn't working yet: the
address is already in use ????

So 1 and a half day lost and still no success
carl
