Hi list,

I was thinking of upgrading my SuSE-9.0 to KDE-3.2.2 (using 3.2.0
now). So I downloaded all the packages from a KDE mirror.
Going through the list of files raised some questions I'd like to have
answered before I start, though... I hope you can help.

1) kdebindings seems to be missing
There are no packages kdebindings3-*-3.2.2.
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.0/applications
lists kdebindings3-*-3.1.4. The KDE-3.2.2 info page does list a
kdebindings-3.2.2.
Do I install the 3.1.4 packages?

2) languagepack is called *.src.rpm
All languagepacks are named as source rpms. `rpm -qpl' looks okay,
though, so I guess this should have just been *.noarch.rpm.
Just install it?

3) kde-3.2.2 contained bugs
The KDE-3.2.2 info page shows some bugs. Since the SuSE-KDE packages
date from before the official KDE-3.2.2 release date, I guess those
bugs are still present in the packages?

And now that I'm sending this mail anyway, could someone explain to me
why SuSE chooses to split up all KDE packages into smaller (but more)
chunks?

Thanks,
  Rob
