Hi Billie
I would like to make a suggestion.
Please, bear with me if what I say is unclear.
I am typing this at work using WinNT4 so cannot use "hands on examples"
Hopefully someone else on the list will expand/clarify.

How about trying to telnet to your mail servers?

I think the following links will guide you on testing your
connection to your mail servers.
And hopefully, any problems will provide more meaningful/clear error
messages

		Hi Billie,

		"W32" is short-hand for Windows 32-bit "
Start>Programs>MS-DOS... type ipconfig to dispay current
machine IP settings.
type exit and hit <return> when done to close the DOS window

Have you corrected your pop & smtp email server entries? Is
KMail working
now? I thought you'd already compared these settings
against the other
		systems...
