Hi!
I have a problem connecting remotely to a xserver.
I have to equally installed Suse Linux 8.0 machines, only the hardware
differs a little bit, but not that much, they are both server machines, from
1999 and 2002.
I use Attachmate KEA! X 4.10 to connect from my Windows XP machine remotly
to both of the xservers. On the one machine (the newer one) it works without
problems, but on the other machine I only get after loggin in only a bash.
When I start with ".xsession" the x-server, it comes up, with lots of
errors, but I didn't find anything that didn't work. KDE is running locally
without any problem.
How can I make the machine switch to the graphical KDE design without having
to start it with .xsession?
Below I attached the error reports.
I found two topics in the sdb.suse.com database (correcting
/etc/X11/xdm/Xstartup and /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager without access.
I would be a great pleasure if anybody could help me!
Thanks in advance,
Frieder Bechtel
