Subject:    [suse-kde] Updating KMenu with Kappfinder does not work

Hi out there!

I have SuSE 8.1, successfully updated to KDE 3.1.1 with the packages from
kde.org. I tried to get some applications into KMenu with Kappfinder. The
program runs, finds some uninstalled applications and offers them to be installed
in Kmenu. I selected a few of them and exited Kappfinder. 

My Kmenu stays unchanged, none of the selected programs show up in the menu.
Does Kappfinder work on a different menu than that one, KDE shows to me?

This happens to 'normal' users as well as to root.
