A wonderful site!  They accept the text-mode ftp client:
ftp -ai ftp.kde.org
and then cd down the tree, and they can support around 280KB a second, 
or whatever my provider can handle.
Not only is SuSE.de abominably slow (their right), they do not propagate 
that subdirectory to the mirrors.
