Hm. SUSE 9.1 is using postfix as default. So you don't have much to do.

Please look in /etc/sysconfig/postfix
You have to set
POSTFIX_MDA=procmail

Do not forget to set
SMTPD_LISTEN_REMOTE="yes"
in /etc/sysconfig/mail

SuSEconfig --module postfix
rcpostfix restart
