Hi,

I'm trying to install 6.3 on a Digital Personal Workstation 500a, but I can't even \
get to the MILO prompt. I think I'm missing something very simple, as I'm not very \
used to Linux. Below you find the settings in AlphaBIOS:

	Systemboard Configuration:
		System Type: 	DIGITAL Personal Workstation 500a

		Processor: 	Digital Alpha 21164, Revision 7.2
		Speed:		500 MHz
		Cache:		2 MB
		Memory:		128 MB

		Floppy Drive A:	3.5" 1.44 MB
		Floppy Drive B:	None
		Keyboard:	German 102-key keyboard

		AlphaBIOS Version: 5.70 990720.1458
		POST Code Version: v5.90

	Hard Disk Configuration:

And here is how I set up the boot-entry for Linux:

		OS Options:	boot scd0:/etc/vmlinux.gz root=/dev/scd0		


As I boot, the following apears on the screen:

	Load File Name is OSLOADFILENAME=\milo\miata

	OSLOADOPTIONS=boot scd0:/etc/vmlinux.gz root=/dev/scd0

	Opening file scsi(0)cdrom(0)fdisk(0)\milo\miata\milo ...
	Loading file at 0x80080000 ...

	Getting firmware parameters ...

	...Memory size is 0x8000000

	Setting up arguments for Milo @ 0x801FFC00

	Setting up memory size for Milo @ 0x801FFE00

	Setting up memory size for Milo @ 0x801FFF00

	Swapping to PALcode at 0x80000


And with that the machine stops doing anything until I press the reset/halt button.

Has anybody outthere an idea what I'm doing wrong? 

Please help.
