I've found that you can remove all but the patterns section, unless
there are specific packages you want to include.

autoyast is reading out all installed patterns and all installed
packages.
If packages that are part of a pattern are missing, they are added to
the
<remove-packages ...> section.
If you don't remove any packages on your own, you can drop the
complete "remove-packages" section from your profile.
