Jason,
Are you running Mathematica on SuSE as 64-bit, 32-bit or both? If you are 
running 32-bit, are you using SuSE 9.1? If so, how did the installation 
process go? Did you need to obtain a copy of the SuSE 9.0 32-bit libraries?
