Here is the issue, after setting up a hot spare pool and associating this 
pool with various devices, the associated hot spare pool does not show 
up when doing a command line metastat, however it does show up when looking
at the metadevice using metatool.  

I associated the spares by:

metaparam -h hsp000 d20

right out of the manpage and it did not report any errors.  
What is wrong with what I'm doing? TIA.
