Those most holy,

Info:
Sparc 5, running Solaris 2.5.1, 45 virtual interfaces.
Whole setup is on one single switched LAN across a 3com 1000 switch.

Problem:
1) When I run snoop, I get the message "snoop: ioctl SIOCGIFCONF"
If I get rid of the virtuals, it goes away.
2) One other thing of note, when running a ping on this machine to another
Solaris 2.5.1 machine, I occaisonaly get:

ICMP Port Unreachable from gateway my.machine.com (X.X.X.X) for udp from
their.machine.com (Y.Y.Y.Y) to my.machine.com (X.X.X.X) port 56612
                                                             ^^^^^^cycles
Everything else on my network runs fine. This problem seems to be only
with this workstation and only when it pings another 2.5.1 machine.

Any ideas on 1 or 2? Are the number of virtuals causing a problem? What
is Solaris' limit anyways? Help would be greatly appreciated, and will
summarize.
