Hi

I have an odd problem on more than one 2.6 based systems. Every so often
one or more (two did it last night) the permissions on some of the files
are changed from the original to -rwxrwxrwx. This happens in various
directories as far as I can see. The dates on the files remain as they
were originally. As these are on a private network, I do not immediately
suspect hacking/rootkit, but would like to have anyones experiences of
similar occurrences.

The most recent change was to the /etc/pam.conf, /var/adm/utmp and
/var/adm/wtmp files, although it does appear that many others have been
affected.

Any chance that ufsdump may be causing it?

Thanks

Peter
