Nominations will open 3-17 February 2009 for one open Java Micro Edition 
(ME) Executive Committee (EC) seat.  This EC seat is for a term ending 
in December 2010, and will fill Intel's vacated seat on the Java ME EC.
 
If you are interested in participating in the JCP program EC, this is 
your opportunity to get involved. For a description of EC duties see: 
http://jcp.org/en/participation/committee

Please contact the PMO with any questions concerning nomination 
preparation.  As in the annual EC Elections, these will be 
self-nominations, open to JCP program members.  If you would like to 
join the JCP program, please see: 
http://jcp.org/en/participation/membership

A special election for the open Java ME EC seat will take place later in 
February 2009.  All JCP program members (JSPA 2) primary contacts will 
be contacted with voting instructions at that time.
