Well OK, use the native Windows command line client in your scripts  
and TortoiseSVN for your interactive SVN manipulation.  Your objection  
that the native Windows client can't call vim for adding comments  
doesn't apply in scripts.

By the way, many years ago I had a similar cross platform scripting  
issue to you.  I solved it by using Perl everywhere.  Nowadays people  
seem to like Python for the same task.
