Personally... just my vho

I already have subversion setup the way I think it should be. I don't
want some 'installer' copying random stuff to random places, configuring
random things.

Especially when all I want is to place the binaries in my structure,
test it against some test repositories and point everything to the new
binaries when I am satisfied that nothing is going to break.

The installer simply does not allow this level of testing,
upgradeability and fallback should bad things happen.

Please, provide the binaries too.

I *believe*[1] at this stage the developers are as keen to test the
installer as much as the rest of Subversion.

Any reason why you'd prefer a zipped version? (Just curious; I was quite
happy with using zips for the previous 1.5 installs I did).

FWIW the installer is really nice - a choice of SVNServe or Apache (or
both), a choice of ports (for both) (useful if you're already running a
web-server and don't want to use it for SVN), and ViewVC is included,
too.

Cheers
John
