I find it easier to use the CollabNet package it includes both svn and apac=
he.

I have been trying to install a Subversion 1.4.5 on an Apache 2.2.4 server =
running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 but when I uncomment the followi=
ng line in the Apache http.conf file, Apache fails to start with message in=
"test configuration" windows :
httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 85 of c:/Program Files/Apache Software Foun=
dation/Apache2.2/conf/httpd.conf: API module structure 'dav_svn_module' in =
file C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/modules/mod_dav_=
svn.so is garbled - perhaps this is not an Apache module DSO?
out any useful message in the Apache error log or the event viewer log,
LoadModule dav_svn_module modules/mod_dav_svn.so
I copied the module files into Apache's module directory and the
application seemed to find them. I also copied the .dlls into the
Apache bin directory.
If I check dependancies of mod_dav_svn.so, missing external references is s=
howed :
ieframe.dll -> urlmon.dll -> shlwapi.dll function #467 entry point not bou=
nd
ieframe.dll -> dwmapi.dll -> user32.dll function IsTreadDesktopComposited =
entry point 0x77096836
Can anyone suggest what version of Subversion and mod_dav_svnI should insta=
ll or how to
do additional debugging on this problem?
