Hello subversion crowd!
It would be very convenient to be able to get at a checkout of a repository as
it would look like if a currently pending transaction would be applied. The
only place and time this would make sense, though, would probably be inside a
pre-commit hook script.
I.e. some kind of "svnlook checkout -t TXN REPOS_PATH" with TXN the
transaction name that is supplied to the pre-commit script.
That way, all the changes that are pending could be analyzed consistently
in pre-commit, testing for example wheter a software project actually
compiles, etc., and possibly rejecting the commit if these tests fail.
At the moment, something like that could in general by emulated by "svnlook
tree REPOS_PATH -t TXN" and "svnlook cat" which, however, seems rather
tedious.
Or, of course, in the post-commit hook, unfortunately there it is too late to
reject the commit :)
