If I change a file into a symlink (two commits needed) and then merge that 
change into a branch, I can not commit the merge; in addition, the working 
copy becomes unusable after that. Fixable by editing .svn/entries, but very 
unpleasant. 
 
Will attach a script that demonstrates the problem.
