This was from an IRC Conversation today, thought maybe it should be
forwarded here:

kfogel>    dionisos: I don't think a general policy of "doc changes
           don't need votes" is good.  If they're so trivial, they
           should be easy to review, so what the heck, let's review
           them.

           The book is a bit different, in that the authors are a)
           striving to keep a consistent authorial voice, and b) doing
           large batches of work at a sitting, making the diffs
           sometimes non-trivial.

           That's why I think it's okay to treat book differently from
           other docs. 

fitz>      kfogel: AFAIK, if the book compiles, the plan is to merge
           the whole damned thing into the 1.0 branch

kfogel>    Also, they know they're getting published as treeware, so
           they're being careful to vet the master copy.
