I'd also like to add my 2 cents that this in fact *is* an improvement, 
and I'd think that Subclipse in general should try to imitate the 
behaviour of the Eclipse CVS integration as much as possible. Firstly 
because it is well done and secondly because that's what the majority of 
users is used to...
