Sorry, but RTFM.  The README file has information about how to debug
further.  No one can help you until you read it and do those things.

It's your responsibility to have a working FTP server before you turn
to the plugin - not only are you too vague about your FTP issues, but
this is not the place to enumerate them.  If you use the suid backend,
make sure the compilation succeeded without errors.

Well, then you didn't RTFM, which clearly tells you you need the
Compatibility plugin.
