1. Do you have advanced_tree enabled?

2. There are some formating errors in that page. Is safari able to parse
<nobr> tags? How browser acts when it finds </div> tag and <div> tag is
not present.

3. Are there any special folders with non Latin letters?

4. can you send us a copy of squirrelmail 1.4.4. We would like to see what
we have changed there. :)

5. Are you using vanilla squirrelmail install or have some special plugins
enabled?

6. can you open src/webmail.php, find lines with
"<frame src=\"something\" name=\"something\" frameborder=\"1\" />\n"

and change them to
"<frame src=\"something\" name=\"something\" frameborder=\"1\">\n"

Remove that slash and check if it fixes your problem.

or change line with
"<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC \"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Frameset//EN\">"

to

"<!DOCTYPE html
     PUBLIC \"-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Frameset//EN\"
     \"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-frameset.dtd\">"
