Hi all,

My spread-based (4.0RC2) application gets these warnings from Valgrind
memtool:

==8997== Syscall param select(timeout) points to uninitialised byte(s)
==8997==    at 0x3B6221: (within /lib/libc-2.3.5.so)
==8997==    by 0x8ED088B: SP_connect_timeout (in
/home/shared/vert/Linux/bin/vertica)
==8997==    by 0x8C0D469: Dist::VSpread::timerCB() (VSpread.cpp:1769)

 From the select() manpage, this looks like it is probably not a
problem, but could it be? Should spread clear its timeout object before
the call?

thanks,
/jr
