The problem wasn't in the spread daemon but in the network driver I used (ians) \
apparently when the subnet is down multicast send got stuck.

Subject: [Spread-users] multi homed spread

I'm using spread with a multi homed configuration :
Spread_Segment 230.0.1.20:4803 {
                node0-inter {
                        D 10.48.0.1
                        D 10.16.0.1
                        C 127.0.0.1 }
                node1-inter {
                        D 10.48.0.2
                        D 10.16.0.2
                        C 127.0.0.1 }
}
with node0-inter ip is 10.48.0.1 and node1-inter ip is 10.48.0.2.

I thought that in this way if one subnet will go down the spread daemon will use the \
other.

When the inter subnet is down I get a leave message and the spread daemon doesn't \
seem to know the other node. Is this the wanted behavior ?

Orit Wasserman.
