Where can I find out the specs of older Sun and SG Monitors?

The CG6 won't do low frequency.  You might want to check out the Sun frame
buffer FAQ.  There's a link to it from http://www.SunHelp.org/  Other than
that, try getting a monitor that's capable of higher resolutions.
