I have a Sun Netra t1 - is it the same as what you have?

[Pira, Joel]
Actually, no.
To the best of my knowledge, no one on this list has ever got linux working
on it.

RedHat pre-sales support have no knowledge or help on whether RH6.2 will
work on it.

RH6.2 will not allow you to install in any other mode than text/expert
because the boot won't go past the loading scsi driver. It does in expert
mode. Expert mode will not load the network drivers.

I purchased Solaris 8 and am very happy with it :-)

[Pira, Joel] Can't afford to buy Solaris 8 too expensive here.

Hi,

I've been using linux for while on intel boxes and was handed down with
a Sun Netra I with a working generic sunos. I want to install Linux on it
but I am not sure if I can since I unknowledgable about Suns.

I burned a RH6.2 for sparc, but it did not boot when I did a boot cdrom.
Can I boot on a floppy?

Obviously, I need to rtfm about Sun, but can you guys give me some
useful hints that is useful in working on a sparc which is not in intel
machines.

Thanks
