Yes.

Solaris uses the partition as a raw data area, while linux likes things a
little more organized. When linux starts up, you have to run mkswap on
the swap partition each time you boot, but before swapon.

This way, when you boot linux, it recreates the swap area, and when you
boot solaris, it just over writes it. And mkswap is quick, so you
shouldn't notice the difference.
