Summary: Problem with "Big attachment" messages - proxy mode.
Initial Comment:
I've tried it with both 1.0.4 and 1.1a3.
If the message with attachement exceeds ~2Mb spambayes
messes something up and the outlook reports an error
Task '217.10.144.98 - Receiving' reported error
(0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was
interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your
server administrator or Internet service provider
(ISP).'
Seems like spambayes is reporting message size bigger
than it is.
There are no errors if I try to retrieve the message
directly from the pop3 server. I'm using Mercury mail
as the pop3.

I am having similar problems on a Debian linux system running 1.0.4.
Incoming seems to do better than outgoing. The smtp proxy is already
choking at 1.5MB. It does not matter if the email itself is large or if
the attachment is large. Watching running processes shows tremendous cpu
usage (99%+) and 6% - 10% available memory usage. Then, before finishing,
the cpu usage drops off suddenly, but the sb_server process continues and
is available for other mail. I've also tried throwing more power at it by
installing on newer, more powerful systems. It gets farther along in the
process, but ultimately fails. I had one dual processor system (running
spambayes) that claimed the email+attachment was sent, but it never was
received by the recipient.
No errors were generated in syslog or anywhere else that I could think to
look.
