this has been open for ages, but it'd be very good to fix (and isn't a code
change). Accordingly I'm going to take the lack of negative votes as approval
and act on this in a day or two. speak up now if you're not keen.
note btw that no change to the existing keys, used for signing, is involved;
it's just changes to their surrounding web of trust, and the "KEYS" files on
the distribution sites (iirc).
