Thanks for the kind offer.... It would probably need a custom OEM LK anyway,
ms sillyness. I actually hadn't intended to post that to the list (friggin
reply to fields :-) and show my  laptop->brickmaking skills to everyone. 
(For fear that I might start an onslaught of others who would want me to make
their laptops useless too :-)

I don't need the key any more... said puppy is now happily running
Linux and I'm wrestling the neomagic X driver in submission.  Now
back to that snort defragger so I can try to get it out before Marty
finishes packing his suitcases full of suntan lotion.....

Interesting trick with the all 1's....
