Hi,

Yes, the red led does not light up at all. Only the orange one. And yes, some \
components do feel quite hot.

So this modules is probably broken? I'll just have to order a new one then, had lots \
of fun playing with this one, so it's not a big deal J

Thanks for your quick reply,

Juha

Hi,

Do you mean that your red LED (D300) does not light up at all when you turn on the \
power? Not even for half a second?

If so, it is bad news. The red LED is lit whenever the (on-board) 3.3V power supply \
is on and the FPGA has not yet been configured. Since the FPGA can't possibly be \
configured right after power-on that means that the 3.3V power never comes up, which \
in turn means that one of the components on your board has broken and consumes far \
too much current. Can you feel if any component (for instance the FPGA, IC300) gets \
very hot?

	Hi,

My SNAP module is in the state that when I turn on the power, the orange (yellow?) \
led comes on right away, and nothing else happens. Ethernet connection does not \
reply, I can't get in via serial terminal...

Documentation says about the hard reset:

"This instruction shows how to temporarily remove the write protect of a SNAP rev B. \
This should only be done in the following cases:

When a bad FPGA/microprogram has been installed.

If you get the error message wbbptr is zero is received from snapdev.exe.

The red LED D300 won't go out when powering up the module."

None of these conditions is met, but should I try the hard reset, or something else?

	Thanks,

	Juha Lanki
